Wartoise "On Air"
In the days before water based pirate radio stations such as Radio Caroline, Wartoise dabbled in a little unlicensed radio broadcasting. Despite installing the tallest thermionic valve he could find he still had trouble reaching listeners more than a few yards, so stood on tippy toes to increase his reach. The initial flurry of listeners soon dwindled due to the limited playlist of quite literally one track - A Summer Place by Percy Faith. Alright? Not half!

Wartoise #7 and #8Wartoise #7 – on the 7th day
And on the 7th day Wartoise rested. He put on is comfy tortoise shell and settled down with his pipe and slippers for a quiet afternoon in front of a black and white film, and maybe a cheeky nap. I Am IrontoiseIrontoise is injured by a booby trap and captured by the enemy, who then orders him to design weapons. His injuries are dire and shrapnel is moving towards his heart. His fellow prisoner constructs a power cell to keep the shrapnel from reaching Irontoise's heart, keeping him alive. In secret they use the workshop to design and construct a suit of, crudely welded together from iron plates, with a magnetically attached gun turret hiding the glowing power cell.

The Bee TeamIn 1972 a crack commando team of soldier Bees broke free from a high security stockade to become soldiers of fortune in the Los Angeles underground.
Wartoise thought he’d found and recruited them, unfortunately they were just ordinary honey bees, who took quite a shine to his hive like carapace. Now he has a problem, he can’t seem to shake off ……. The Bee Team. |

Pumpkin WartoiseIn deepest West Sussex during the middle ages, the Pumpkin Wartoise roamed from village to village each Autumn spreading Halloween cheer. His journey starting in Storrington - he's managed to make it as far as Pease Pottage.
